What does the single payment API do?

The API allows you to make multi-currency, one to one payments to accounts within Hellenic Bank, to local banks, banks in the EU via SEPA and to other international banks via SWIFT.

How can I use this API?

You can build apps to make simple transfers between accounts of different banks, bill and expense sharing apps, social payment apps, tips calculator, contactless payments between two different users, and enable p2p payments. For businesses, this API can be integrated into your CRM or ERP systems to make invoice payments and B2B payments.

What currencies can I use?

Payments can be made in any valid ISO currency.

Do I need additional authentication methods i.e OTP?

Yes, transfers to third parties, other Hellenic accounts, SEPA and SWIFT payments require OTP.

Does the API provide feedback if my transaction is successful?

The API will respond with:

  • an error structure if it fails any of the security, technical or rule validations
  • a success structure if the credit transfer was submitted successfully
